“Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness.” – Desmond Tutu

During such challenging times around the world, it is imperative that businesses adapt and evolve to adjust to our new world. As Sunstone Logistic Systems, we have forged our way from darkness into light by finding opportunities to innovate and improve the way we do business.

During this time we have achieved remote go–live’s. For one of our largest clients this has resulted in the first remote implementation and go-live in their software history. We have successfully gone live with Route Builder in 7 depots in Nigeria and 2 depots in Mozambique. This included a full set-up, training, parallel go-live and go-live in each depot respectively. We have successfully created and published KPI’s that are being used daily to monitor planners, vehicles, drivers and stock during this time of skeleton staff.

Costings for past implementations included air travel and accommodation for our implementation teams, but through remote implementation, our client have saved around 20%. While we still prefer in-country on the ground implementation, we are happy to have given our customers systems they need in difficult times to manage their daily costs.

During this time, reporting and performance indicators have been a big part of helping our clients see the benefit that our systems can provide. We have released +- 80 different KPI’s for Route Builder and Control Hub as well as a long-awaited refresh to our Status Board allowing our clients to see live data and exceptions.

We cannot wait for the day to walk into the Sunstone office and greet our colleges (with a handshake or hug), have meetings face-to-face with our valued clients and share a coffee whilst brainstorming with our team mates. But until that day returns, we will endeavor to search for the “Light” and find new ways to provide our clients with extra value and support wherever possible
